We invite you to the AUSTRIAN WORLD SUMMIT – a hub for sharing best practice examples of green infrastructure projects that help businesses and policy makers implement the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and meet the global climate protection goals set by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
This inaugural conference will be hosted on June 20, 2017 in Vienna under the patronage of the Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen and supported by the Austrian Chancellor Christian Kern together with Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and his NGO R20 Regions of Climate Action.
Our world faces complex and profound challenges never experienced before. Cities, regions, companies, politicians, researchers and civil society throughout the world are finding innovative solutions to these pressing problems. Our goal will bring everyone together in order to increase partnerships and exchange both experiences and ideas. It is critical that we stay inspired and motivated in our efforts to implement the SDGs and that we find effect ways to learn from one another.
The AUSTRIAN WORLD SUMMIT has been designed specifically to accomplish these goals and to become the premier annual meeting place for sustainable development "action heroes".
